What 200 build minutes actually buys you.

Quotas are abstract until you map them to real work. Here's what each Free-tier limit translates to, based on actual median build times from the past 90 days.
FREE TIER MATH

Build minutes × median build

200 min / month divided by the current median Flareo build time of ~4.3 min. More than enough for a small publisher shipping 1–2 modules with weekly releases.

SANDBOX MATH

60 sandbox min / month

Each sandbox session is capped at 30 min on Free. Enough to preview two modules per month end-to-end, or ten quick 5-minute evaluations.

Unlimited pulls, always

Pulling verified modules from the public catalog is unmetered on every tier, including Free. Verification should feel free because it is.

03 BILLING FAQ

The questions we actually get.

Q1

When does the paid billing actually start?

V1.1 launches September 1, 2026, and that's the earliest any tier above Free starts charging. Every account gets 30 days of email notice before the first invoice. If you don't upgrade, you stay on Free with Free's limits.
Q2

Can I self-host the whole platform and skip Flareo hosted?

Yes. The platform is AGPLv3 — the code is at github.com/Yolo1105/flareo. You can run the whole pipeline on your own infrastructure, publish to your own registry, and never pay us a dollar.

What happens if I exceed my build minutes?

Pipelines queue instead of failing. You'll get an email at 80% usage and a second at 100%. After the quota is hit, new builds wait until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade. No surprise overage charges.
Q4

Do you charge per seat on teams?

No. Pro includes up to 10 team members. Seat-based pricing is a tax on collaboration — we'd rather charge for the work the pipeline does than for how many people are allowed to look at a dashboard.
Q5

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Downgrading to Free is one click and takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds on prepaid months, but your private modules stay accessible (read-only) for 90 days.
Q6

Is there a nonprofit or OSS maintainer discount?

Yes, two programs. Verified OSS projects with an OSI-approved license get Pro free forever. Registered nonprofits get 50% off Pro. Email hello@flareo.sh from an organization address to enroll.
